“He’s come back unbelievably quickly” – Louis van Gaal pleased with return of Jesse Lingard

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has praised the recovery time of talented youngster Jesse Lingard saying that he was impressed the player could come back from injury so quickly.
Lingard was a surprise inclusion in Van Gaal’s first competitive game, a 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea City, but his performance was cut short when he had to be taken off with a nasty looking knee injury.
The original diagnosis was that he wouldn’t played again until 2015 but Lingard has worked hard at his recovery and he has now returned to first-team training
Speaking to MUTV Van Gaal said “He’s come back unbelievably quickly because we thought it would take longer,
“I’m very pleased with him. But I don’t want to say too much about the injured players, because we have a squad which has to solve that [selection] problem.”
Van Gaal touched upon the injury situation that United have experienced this season with many suggesting that United have suffered 40 different injuries over the course of the season.
The situation has divided opinion amongst United fans with some blaming bad luck and some blaming the methods imposed by Van Gaal and his coaching staff.
