Lagos Governorship aspirant wins APC ticket

According to reports, Lagos governorship aspirant, Akinwunmi Ambode has won the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
51-year-old Ambode won the election which was held today, December 4, and had about 3000 APC delegates in attendance.
The former Accountant General of Lagos had to go head to head with other aspirants such as former Attorney-General of the state, Olasupo Shasore, who reportedly had the support ofGovernor Babatunde Fashola, and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji among others.
As the winner of the primaries, Ambode is expected to represent the APC at the 2015 Lagos governorship elections.
