Former Manchester City defender Spencer Prior has warned Chelsea the Premier League title race is far from over.
Jose Mourinho’s men are overwhelming favourites to finish the 2014/15 campaign on top of the table after a stunning start.
But City have begun to find their form, with three successive wins moving last season’s champions to within six points of the leaders, and Prior claims his old club are well capable of reeling in their rivals.
Speaking on Extra Time, he said: “It’s been a fantastic week for Manchester City. It's now gone beyond people saying Chelsea will walk away with this.
“The gap was probably bigger this time last year when City went on to win the title, and there is still a long way to go.
“Manchester City seem very, very settled now. It will be more than just a one horse race.
"I think they have got more depth in their squad than Chelsea. The real test is when Chelsea get further into European football. That is when teams will have a chance to turn them over.
“I look at the way Man City are performing at the moment and them, alongside Man United, are the form team.”
