The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collection exercise in Lagos State.
INEC announced the move on Sunday, November 30, which was the initial deadline for the exercise to end.
The commission said that the extension was necessary to allow people who hadn’t collected their voters’ cards to do so.
In statement released for that purpose, INEC said:
“This will allow more Lagos residents to obtain their PVCs. All who have yet to obtain their PVCs should take advantage of this extension to collect them.”
The distribution of the cards began in Lagos on Friday, November 28, leading the state government to cancel the monthly sanitation exercise to enable residents collect their voters’ cards.
